We spent last Christmas in Thailand, so this year there was only one option for the holidays: Tenerife! This is where I grew up, this is my home. I left when I moved to Mainland Spain to study my first BA. Now I have been living in Berlin for almost 5 years and visit once a year, sometimes even less. Either work or other trips usually get in the way. I have to admit that when I left the island for the first time, I was so happy and I did not miss it at all. I was just too busy living new experiences and creating new memories, but the older I get, the more I appreciate this paradise, it really does have it all: Nature, mountains, volcanoes, fog, beach, sun, the ocean and so much more! Although I do prefer living in a city due to all the opportunities it offers, especially in my field: art, photography exhibitions, events, etc every once in a while, a short trip to Tenerife to relax and slow down is much needed. I don't know if I will ever move back for good, but once thing is for sure, Tenerife is and will always be my home.
