This is a residential complex for modern travelers. That moment when you leave the car in front of this house with colorful doors, you take out the paper bags with fresh groceries from Wholefoods Market, just like in the American movies! It felt like home...
The Desert Collective consists of three different residential complexes, two of them are in Palm Springs, and the third (you will not believe) in Canada, somewhere in the Ontario region. I would love to go there, perhaps on our next big trip! We spent three days in Palm Springs and stayed at the Amado, which was built in 1955, cannot believe how this place still look so perfect and colorful. It's really the best of mid-century design as so is its desert environment and surroundings! This place is the ultimate getaway.
The best surprise was to meet with the founder - Jaime, who is a freelance photographer and has worked with The New York Times, Vogue Living Australia, National Geographic Adventure and Eric, a really cool man, who is the general manager of The Desert Collective! In this moment, you realize once again that there is inspiration and inspiring people all over the place.

I really liked how they decorated their website with such a simple and beautiful photo gallery, an inspiring text, and very useful information like a Local Guide for Palm Springs, which shows the best cafes, restaurants, shops, festivals and events of the season! Мы любим наших гостей. Мы любим наших клиентов..." - именно так позиционируют себя ребята - хозяева этого неимоверно прекрасного места, которое даже сложно назвать отелем. Это скорее всего жилой комплекс для современных путешественников. Приезжаешь, оставляешь машину перед этим домиком с яркими дверями, достаешь бумажные пакеты со свежими продуктами из Wholefoods Market, и, как в американском фильме, заносишь их, неся в руках, домой, да именно домой, потому что здесь создается чувство, будто ты приехал в свой загородный домик на выходные.
The Desert Collective имеет три разных жилых комплекса, два из которых находятся в Palm Springs в Калифорнии, а третье (не поверите) в холодной Канаде, где-то в регионе Онтарио. Мы провели в Palm Springs около трех дней и остановились в комплексе Amado, который был построенный в 1955 году. Даже не верится насколько это место до сих пор идеально по архитектуре, по цвету и не потеряло своей актуальности до сих пор. Здесь действительно собран лучший дизайн середины прошлого века.
