Omocado

We can't believe it's already 1 year since we created Omocado! And what a year it has been! We have worked on so many amazing projects and had the opportunity to create content for so many great brands, we couldn't be happier! It hasn't been an easy year, in fact it's probably been the toughest for us, because we've had to combine work with our University thesis. It has basically been all about work all year and we've almost had no time to relax and take a breath. When you are working for yourself, you really do mostly work and since our job is to create content, we've basically been travelling and taking pictures everywhere we go. It's been hard for us to say, ok, that's enough now. Our job is amazing, but it's not always as glamorous as it looks. We always try to show you guys our best and most inspiring moments, but of course that doesn't mean that our life is perfect. Nevertheless, this year has also been very exciting and special for both of us as we have been working and creating something together!

Before creating Omocado, we talked about it for months and of course coming up with a name and identity took us a while. By the way, you can read our post about how we came up with our corporate identity and the name here. As some of you know, I already had a blog before this one and we created content for it every once in a while whenever we could, but due to our studies and our part-time jobs, we couldn't really leave the city that often as we didn't really have the time for it. At some point we had to decide if we were going to make our hobby become our full time job, so we made a decision last year and decided to start something new together. To be able to fully focus on this, Mauricio quit his job at the gallery in Berlin a year ago. Now, a year later, we're both so happy about the decision we made and it really feels great!

We want to use this opportunity to thank each one of you for following our journey this far and for appreciating the content we've been sharing both on our blog and on Instagram, it means the world to both of us. Sharing our trips, projects and our experiences with you is just amazing! All your comments, support and feedback keep us going and push us to create more! Also, we wanted to take the opportunity to encourage you to give us some more feedback about our blog posts by writing a comment when you check them. We are always happy to read all your messages, questions and comments here!

Omocado has taken us on many incredible trips and we can't wait to see what 2018 will bring us. This year we want to live in different cities, like Paris, London and New York! We plan on staying for a month or so in each one of these places. We also can't wait to be done with our studies soon so that we can continue travelling and working on exciting projects! This year we'd like to worry less and take it easy in general! We look forward to visiting countries we've never been to. I mean, the World is so beautiful and there is so much to see! Do you you guys have a dream destination? Let us know, because we are now thinking about all the places we'd love to travel to this year!

Не верится, что уже прошел год с того момента, как мы вместе с Маурисио запустили наш сайт Omocado. И какой был год! Работали над множеством новых проектов и создавали контент для самых разных брендов, чему мы безумно рады! Это был нелегко, потому что пришлось совмещать full-time работу с учебой. Почти не оставалось времени, чтобы расслабиться и перевести дыхание. Когда ты работаешь на себя, то полностью погружаешься в работу и иногда сложно сказать самому себе: „хорошо, этого уже достаточно". Мы всегда стараемся показать вам лучшие и вдохновляющие моменты, но это не значит, что наша жизнь вся прекрасна и мы все получаем просто так! Я не уверена, что имеет какой-то смысл говорить о негативной части нашей работы, потому что думаю никому не захочется слушать о проблемах. У нас у всех их достаточно было в течение года. Тем не менее, этот год был очень интересным для нас обоих, поскольку впервые работаем и создаем что-то вместе!

Прежде чем создать Omocado, мы обсуждали это в течение нескольких месяцев и, конечно, придумывали имя, что заняло некоторое время. Кстати, вы можете прочитать пост об этом здесь. Многие из вас знают, что у меня уже был блог до этого и не всегда получалось создавать контент для него из-за не хватки времени. Поэтому в прошлом году мы приняли решение, что хотим начать что-то новое и сделать наш блог приоритетом. Мы немного отложили нашу учебу, а Маурисио оставил работу в Берлине. Теперь, год спустя, понимаем, что решение было верное!

Очень хочется сказать спасибо всем вам! Мы благодарны за то, что вы следите за нашими путешествиями здесь в блоге, а также в Инстаграме. Это очень много для нас значит! Вместе с вами мы путешествуем, делимся нашими мыслями, рассказываем о поездках, проектах! Все ваши комментарии, обратная связь заставляют нас двигаться вперед и создавать больше. Иногда, правда, мы немного расстраиваемся, когда видим статистику и видим, что так много людей заходили в блог, но почти никто не оставил комментариев. Поэтому часто думаю перестать писать на русском, но потом вы мне пишете "продолжай!". Нам очень важна ваша поддержка и мы всегда рады читать все ваши сообщения, вопросы и комментарии здесь!

Что принесет нам 2018 год? Мы с Маурисио не строим больших планов, но у нас есть мечты и цели. То, что мы определенно хотим сделать в этом году, - это пожить в разных городах какое-то время, например в Париже, Лондоне и Нью-Йорке! Мы не можем дождаться, когда закончим официально нашу учебу и сможем жить и работать в городах, которые мы так любим. Еще одна моя личная цель - научится не волноваться по пустякам, а у меня это хорошо получается! Но я над этим работаю! Мы также хотели бы отправиться в этом году в места, где никогда не были раньше. Наш мир так красив и еще так много хочется увидеть. А в какие места мечтаете отправится вы?

Сегодня мы решили показать некоторые наши любимые моменты 2017 года, и ждем с нетерпением, что принесет нам новый год, чтобы поделиться с вами!

SEPTEMBER - We spent the end of September in Paris! It was all about Fashion Week this month. We joined great events and met lovely people! As you can see, September was a really crazy month for us. We also took pictures for Samsung and all together worked with 10 different brands this month! I also did a photoshoot for the Frizz Ease campaign with John Frieda and these past three months you could find me in German Fashion magazines like Vogue, Harpers Bazaar or Cosmopolitan. It still feels pretty surreal! It was a really busy and tough month, but we are happy and thankful for all the great opportunities!
