Every now and then I try to find the time to do a short trip, even if it's just a trip to a small town not too far away. Such visits allow me to relax and get new inspiration. During the time I spent in Tenerife, we managed to organize a few short trips and one of them was to Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria is the 3rd Canary Island I have visited. Eventually, I hope to be able to see all 7 of them. We were there for only two days, but we sure did make the most of it. We'd both always dreamt about going to see the dunes in Maspalomas, so this was of course the first thing we did the moment we stepped foot on the island. They aren't as a large as you would expect, but still they are amazing and nothing like them can be found in Tenerife. It was a very hot summer day, which meant that most of the people were relaxing on the beach. This was great because it allowed us to have the place practically to ourselves. Running barefoot on the warm sand is not exactly easy, but it sure is a lot of fun. Even the shortest of trips can give you the best memories. Enjoy the pictures and the video.
