BERLIN FASHION WEEK SS 2018

Fashion Week in Berlin is over and this week we could finally find the time to go through all the pictures we took to share our impressions with you! It was a busy week, with different events, meetings and many shows from Berlin based designers. Although officially Fashion week started on Tuesday, we had a couple of meetings already on Monday, like for example a Styling appointment with Topshop in my beloved Soho House in Berlin, where Mauricio and I sometimes go to eat avocado toast. There we met Mel and Jacqueline, and in the evening me went to the Coke Summer Night Party, where we met almost everyone who is part of the agency we are working with. It was a really nice evening with good music, drinks and funny conversations!

Неделя моды в Берлине закончилась, теперь можно спокойно разобрать все фотографии и поделится с вами! Это была безумно занятая неделя, с разными мероприятиями, встречами, шоу Берлинских дизайнеров и не только. Хотя официальное начало было в прошлый вторник, у нас было пару встреч уже в понедельник, например Styling вместе с Topshop в моем любимом Soho House, где с мы любим иногда завтракать тостами с авокадо. Там встретились с Mel и Jacqueline, которых многие из вас уже знают по инстаграму, а вечером со всей группой нашего агенства на Coke Summer Night Party! 

On Tuesday, Fashion week in Berlin officially began and we attended two shows: LENA HOSCHEK and LAURÉL. The Viennese designer Lena Hoschek is about to have a baby so she wasn't in Berlin for her show, but decided to say hi and thank all of her guests with photographs which the models carried with them at the end of the show where we could see her pregnant and with the following text: "Sorry, we prefer to stay home!". It was very cute! The collection itself turned out to be very feminine - all handmade dresses, reminding us that it's summer and that you just need to wear a floral wreath, a dress and go out to the nature!
 

Right after the Laurel Show, and in contrast to Lena Hoschek's collection, Laurel's was more minimalistic: light dresses, blue oversized sweaters. Everything is very simple, but at the same time stylish and pieces which can be perfectly combined with each other.
 

After the show, we went with Mel to a lunch gathering organised by the German brand EDITED, where we had time to eat some snacks and see the new EDITED collection. We also got to know Mel a little better, not only do her pictures always show her positivity and openness, but she's also very friendly and authentic in person. 
 

Later that day, we once again went to Soho House, as the Swiss brand Strellson, also had an evening event going on. We enjoyed a beautiful view of Berlin, had some drinks and later walked all the way back home while there was still a beautiful light outside. We actually tried to walk as much as we could all week whenever the weather allowed us to, which is why I always wear really comfortable shoes.

Во вторник, в день официального начала, мы посетили два шоу: LENA HOSCHEK и LAURÉL. Венский дизайнер Lena Hoschek вот-вот должна стать мамой и поэтому на самом шоу в Берлине ее лично не было, но в самом конце показа модели вынесли ее фотографию с надписью: "Нам лучше оставаться дома!". Это было очень мило! Сама коллекция получилась очень женственная - все платья ручной работы напоминают, что сейчас лето и нужно просто одеть цветочный венок на голову, красивое летнее платье и уехать на природу! Коллекция Laurel Show в отличии от Lena Hoschek была более минималистичная. Легкие платья, голубые oversized свитера. Очень просто, но в тоже время стильно и все можно отлично комбинировать между собой. 

После шоу мы были на Lunch немецкого бренда EDITED вместе с Mel, где было время перекусить, посмотреть новую коллекцию EDITED и познакомится поближе с Mel. Она не только заряжает позитивом через фотографии, она такая же открытая и общительная в реальности! Позже снова в Soho House было мероприятие швейцарского бренда Strellson, где мы насладились красивым видом на Берлин и пошли пешком домой. Всю неделю, кстати, когда была хорошая погода, мы старались ходить пешком, поэтому я почти всегда одевала удобную обувь!

On Wednesday we had a busy morning planned with two shows, but in the end we did not make it to any of them, because the public transport was temporarily out of service and we could not manage to find a taxi or an Uber... you'd think that living in a big city, something like this would not happen, but it does in Berlin! We had the same situation a week before Fashion Week where we also missed an event because no Uber drivers or taxis were available...

Since we had gotten up early for both shows, but did not make it, we decided to walk to one of our favourite Cafés to enjoy a good breakfast before heading to the show of the Berlin designer Dawid Tomaszewski! Last time we visited Paris, I shared several pictures on Instagram wearing some of his pieces. He has some really beautiful ones with really thought through details, where he combines classic with modern prints and colors! I want to start experimenting more with my own wardrobe and pieces. Oh, and I really liked the location Dawid chose for his show - in the center of Berlin, inside a building with great views of the city where the models posed on a balcony! It was great, because since everything happened very slowly, you could really have a good look at each piece.

В среду был очень загруженный день, с утра мы собирались на два шоу, но не успели из-за дождя. В последнее время, когда в Берлине дождь, невозможно найти такси, Uber, а трамваи и метро опаздывают. В общем, пошли в кафе позавтракать, а затем на шоу берлинского дизайнера Dawid Tomaszewski! Я уже не раз делилась своими фотографиями в его одежде у себя в инстаграме. Он, как всегда, удивляет, создавая что-то необыкновенное! Очень красивые сочетания и продумано все до мелочей, хочется теперь больше экспериментировать своими луками. В каждой детали чувствуется классика разных времен, но, в тоже время, сочетание с современными принтами и цветовой гаммой! А еще мне очень понравилась локация, которую выбрал Dawid - в центре Берлина с волшебной террасой и красивым видом на город!   

Later on Wednesday I had the Fitting for the show of the designer DOROTHEE SCHUMACHER at the HOTEL DE ROME, where there was also a POP UP Showroom going on, where we got to meet the PR agency from Vienna which organised LENA HOSCHEK's show. In the evening we had a show, but could make it because, the fitting took longer than expected. To be honest, we didn't really mind since during the fitting we got to enjoy the sun on a rooftop terracel with juice, fruits and great company. After that we went home and got ready for the NYLON Germany Party! The club and music were really good, but there were too many people and it was really hot there, so we just had a few drinks and danced a bit, and around midnight we walked back home.

On Thursday, we had the opportunity to checkout the Backstage atmosphere from the brand STEINROHNER, right before their show started. Steinrohner is from the duo Inna Stein and Caroline Rohner, who are originally from Russia and Switzerland, but live in Berlin. In 2013, after finishing their Fashion Design Studies, they decided to create their own brand STEINROHNER. In 2015 they won the Young Designers Award in Germany and their collections have already been shown in the past many times during Berlin Fashion Week. We had the opportunity to meet them in person and talk about their new collection. Inna told us that their new collection had been inspired by flowers and therefore each guest received a goodie bag with a fresh flower. The flower gave our living room a really refreshing and good smell for several days. The colors beige, grey and white dominated this collection and the transparent bags, which the models wore, gave the collection a cosmic touch, while the flower prints on the different fabrics made the collection tender and very stylish! We enjoyed the whole show and of course the backstage! We always enjoy spending some time backstage before the show, as we think that is where the real magic happens! Позже в этот же день у меня был Fitting для шоу дизайнера Dorothee Schumacher в отеле HOTEL DE ROME, где кстати также был POP UP Showroom и где мы познакомились с PR агентством из Вены. А вечером было шоу, на которое мы не успели, потому что задержались на Fitting, поэтому после ужина вечером пошли на NYLON Germany Party. Нам понравился клуб и музыка, но было слишком много людей и мы ушли домой и снова пешком.

В четверг была прекрасная возможность попасть на Backstage берлинского бренда Steinrohner! Это - Inna Stein и Caroline Rohner, родом из России и Швейцарии, но обе живут в Берлине. В 2013 после окончание Fashion Design Studies они решили создать свой бренд STEINROHNER. В 2015 году выиграли Young Designers’ Award Germany и их коллекции уже ни раз были показаны на Berlin Fashion Week. Мы пообщались с ними лично и поговорили о новой коллекции. Отличительным знаком новой коллекции были цветы, как сказала нам Инна, и, поэтому, перед шоу в каждом подарочном пакете для зрителей был свежий цветок, который кстати до сих пор у нас дома и радует очень нежным ароматом.

Бежевый, серый и белый цвета доминировали в этой коллекции, а прозрачные сумки в руках моделей придали коллекции что-то космическое, но в тоже время принты цветов на разных тканях сделали коллекцию нежной и в тоже время стильной! 

After the STEINROHNER show, we immediately went to the show of the Berlin designer HIEN LE and for a moment, both myself and Mauricio thought that we were once again back in South Korea for Seoul Fashion Week, mostly because of the special minimalist style of the collection and the designer's choice of models. We really enjoyed his show!

После STEINROHNER мы сразу пошли на шоу берлинского дизайнера HIEN LE и в этот момент на секунду нам с Маурисио показалось что мы снова на неделе моды в Сеуле. Наверное из-за особенного минималистичный стиль в коллекции и подход дизайнера к моделям перенесли нас на секунду в Южную Корею!

The last show on Thursday was from Dorothee Schumacher! During the fitting on Wednesday we got to know the designer's team and they were just so nice! It was definitely one of our highlights of the week. 

Slashed trousers, long airy dresses, light blouses and oversized shirts - the new collection of Dorothee Schumacher has turned out to be modern and daring under the motto "Citizen of the World"! A blend of cultures and worlds is passed on to each detail of the collection: fabrics, Latin American jewelry and leather accessories.

Последнее шоу в четверг было от Dorothee Schumacher! На примерке в среду мы познакомились с командой дизайнера и нам оттуда не хотелось уходить, так хорошо и открыто нас встретили! Маурисио вдоволь насладился видом на Берлин вместе со свежевыжатыми соками и фруктами :) 

Расклешенные брюки, длинные воздушные платья, легкие блузки и рубашки oversized - новая коллекция Dorothee Schumacher получилась современная и дерзкая под мотто "Citizen of the World"! Смесь культур и миров передается в всех деталях коллекции, от тканей до латиноамериканские украшений и аксессуаров из кожи. Если будете смотреть фотографии всей коллекции, обратите внимание на воздушное оранжевое платье! Я готова была его забрать прямо с шоу, оно просто волшебное! Сплошное вдохновение!

On Friday, we had two shows - from the designers Marina Hoermanseder and Michael Sonntag! We were only able to take pictures during Michael Sonntags show, because we had first row seats, but at the Marina Hoermanseder show we did not have good seats, and therefore only shared some impressions on stories (hope you got the chance to see them). 

Berlin designer Michael Sonntag is known for his free handling of materials - long sleeves, tight pants that emphasize the figure and combinations of bright colors with light colors! (see below)

В пятницу было два шоу - дизайнера Marina Hoermanseder и Michael Sonntag! Возможность сделать фотографии была только у Michael Sonntag (смотрите ниже), потому что мы сидели в первых рядах. На шоу Marina Hoermanseder, хотя и была очень необычная location, у нас не было хороших мест, поэтому не получилось запечатлеть все и показать вам коллекцию. Хотя многие видели наверное у меня в Stories необычные костюмы матрешек и музыку группы "Тату"! Берлинский дизайнер Michael Sonntag известен своим свободным обращением с материалами - длинные рукава, облегающую брюки подчеркивающие фигуру и сочетания ярких цветов со светлыми.

On Friday, we visited "Der Berliner Mode Salon" where about 40 German designers were exhibiting their work and collections. One of our Favourites was the installation from the Berlin designer Lala Berlin, whose show we visited during Fashion Week in Copenhagen last winter! 

В этот день в рамках Недели моды были представлены около 40 немецких дизайнеров в "Der Berliner Mode Salon", там не смогли пройти мимо инсталляции берлинского дизайнера Lala Berlin, на шоу которой мы кстати были в Копенгагене этой зимой!
